Service Projects
1st Grade
2nd Grade
This year the second grade students made a 2009 calendar. They sold the calendars to their family and friends. The proceeds went to buy gifts for a family in need. We raised approximately $375.00.
3rd Grade
This year the third grade students wrote Welcome letters to the RCIA candidates. Each student wrote one letter and the 20 RCIA candidates will end up with 2 letters from the students.
4th Grade
“Cookies in a Jar” All of the money raised goes to buying presents for a needy family.
5th Grade
The 5th grade class has been visiting and working with the preschoolers at Head Start.
We travel there with six of our students each Wednesday. While we are there, the students divide into pairs and share the responsibility of reading to a book to the class. Then they work with the students on a project that complements the story. We will wrap up our visits in January, but the director of Head Start has already requested that we return in the Spring because it has been so successful.
6th Grade
The 6TH Grade will be going to Providence Retirement Home to present skits and play musical instruments for the residents. We will also play games with them, but we are not going till the end of January, so no pictures for now.
